Position Details
- Position: Electrotechnical Technician – Individual Contractor

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain distributed building equipment and technical systems.
- Conduct daily inspections of electrical power distribution systems.
- Inspect centralized and split HVAC systems.
- Monitor water pumps, fire pumps, control systems, generators, and automatic transfer switch (ATS) systems.
- Maintain UPS systems, firefighting equipment, plumbing systems, elevators, and solar power installations.
- Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance reports.
- Process requisitions for maintenance materials and supplies.
- Assist in identifying qualified maintenance vendors.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment reconditioning.
- Carry out plumbing, electrical, and basic office equipment repairs.
- Perform welding, metal fabrication, and forming work.
- Undertake minor construction work, including partition installation, lock replacement, and glass replacement.
- Assess repair requirements and assist in preparing technical plans and specifications.
- Supervise external contractors to ensure maintenance and construction work meets required standards.
- Prepare progress reports on completed maintenance activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications Required
- Successful completion of a high school diploma in a technical field.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in facilities management.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance systems and technical infrastructure.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Working knowledge of Kiswahili is desirable.
- Knowledge of French is an advantage, as English and French are the working languages of the Mechanism.
