Minimum Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful Household Workers will provide cleaning and housekeeping services at Frere Tertiary Hospital.
Main duties include:
- Cleaning allocated hospital areas
- Sweeping, washing, dusting, polishing and vacuuming
- Cleaning bathrooms and restrooms
- Removing and disposing of waste
- Cleaning offices and other designated areas
- Cleaning kitchen utensils and equipment
- Maintaining cleaning equipment
- Safely storing cleaning materials
- Monitoring cleaning material supplies
- Reporting shortages and damaged equipment
- Preparing and cleaning meeting rooms
- Reporting maintenance problems
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintaining infection control and hygiene standards
Employees may also be required to rotate between different work areas according to operational requirements.
