Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and overall accountability for the facilities maintenance function.
  • Plan, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programmes.
  • Oversee the maintenance of buildings, greenhouses, utilities, irrigation systems, electrical installations, mechanical equipment, and other technical infrastructure.
  • Develop maintenance strategies that improve asset reliability and equipment lifecycle.
  • Lead, coach, supervise, and develop the maintenance team while promoting safety and accountability.
  • Monitor maintenance performance using key performance indicators and implement corrective improvements.
  • Prepare and manage maintenance budgets while maintaining cost efficiency and service quality.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers to ensure quality and timely project completion.
  • Lead refurbishment, infrastructure improvement, and maintenance projects.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain maintenance records and prepare technical reports and recommendations for senior management.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least seven years of progressive experience in facilities or maintenance management.
  • Minimum of three years’ leadership experience.
  • Full registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams in industrial or complex operational environments.
  • Experience developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
  • Strong understanding of facilities management, utilities, asset management, building infrastructure, and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, contractors, and external service providers.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to commence employment at short notice.

Contract Information

  • Initial fixed-term contract of six months.
